About

The longer version.

Contractor

I started in the trades. Ran a flooring and remodeling business in metro Atlanta for years — estimating jobs, managing crews, working with my hands. I learned how to scope work, manage expectations, and build things that had to hold up to real use.

Founder

Now I run Aprenda Mesmo with my wife Rebecca and my mom Cláudia. We help Brazilian immigrants prepare for the U.S. citizenship interview and learn English. It started small and grew to about 19 people. My mom is our lead instructor — she's the heart of the operation.

Builder

These days I build with code instead of lumber. Automation systems, Notion architecture, AI integrations, self-hosted infrastructure. I like problems that require figuring out how something works before you can build it right.

Personal

I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee with Rebecca and our dogs Kevin and Bella. I'm trilingual — English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Seventh-day Adventist. Plant-based. Interested in rammed earth construction, hydroponics, Bitcoin, home automation, and theology. Training for things. Cooking for people. Reading constantly.
